Bhakti Ratnavali. 9.4
खं वायुमग्निं सलिलं महीं च ज्योतींषि सत्त्वानि दिशो द्रुमादीन् । सरित्समुद्रांश्च हरे: शरीरं यत् किंच भूतं प्रणमेदनन्य: ॥ ४१ ॥ khaṁ vāyum agniṁ salilaṁ mahīṁ ca jyotīṁṣi sattvāni diśo drumādīn sarit-samudrāṁś ca hareḥ śarīraṁ yat kiṁ ca bhūtaṁ praṇamed ananyaḥ
(Kavi to Nimi) To fire, water, air and earth and sky, To quarters and luminaries on high, To rivers, trees, mountains, creatures and sea, Bow, as they form the body of Hari; Whatever is in his body subsists, Since nothing from him separate exists. 9.4 (11.2.41)

Bhakti Ratnavali. Strand Ten; On Servitude.
यन्नामश्रुतिमात्रेण पुमान् भवति निर्मल: । तस्य तीर्थपद: किं वा दासानामवशिष्यते ॥ १६ ॥ yan-nāma-śruti-mātreṇa pumān bhavati nirmalaḥ tasya tīrtha-padaḥ kiṁ vā dāsānām avaśiṣyate
(Durvasa to Ambarisha) By aural reception of whose pure name, Mankind is purified of the least stain; Then as for servants of the Holy One, Hight Tirthapada, what more needs be done? 10.1 (9.5.16)
तावद् रागादय: स्तेनास्तावत् कारागृहं गृहम् । तावन्मोहोऽङ्घ्रिनिगडो यावत् कृष्ण न ते जना: ॥ ३६ ॥ tāvad rāgādayaḥ stenās tāvat kārā-gṛhaṁ gṛham tāvan moho ’ṅghri-nigaḍo yāvat kṛṣṇa na te janāḥ
(Brahma to Krishna) Passions are thieves, the home is but a jail, Foot shackles are affections that assail, O Krishna, with bondage and miseries, Until they become your pure devotees. 10.2 (10.14.36)
किं चित्रमच्युत तवैतदशेषबन्धोदासेष्वनन्यशरणेषु यदात्मसात्त्वम् । योऽरोचयत् सह मृगै: स्वयमीश्वराणांश्रीमत्किरीटतटपीडितपादपीठ: ॥ ४ ॥ kiṁ citram acyuta tavaitad aśeṣa-bandho dāseṣv ananya-śaraṇesu yad ātma-sāttvam yo ’rocayat saha mṛgaiḥ svayam īśvarāṇāṁ śrīmat-kirīṭa-taṭa-pīḍita-pāda-pīṭhaḥ
(Uddhava to Krishna) What wonder is it, Infallible One, For those servants who have thy friendship won, Who have exclusively to thee resigned, That you should accept them with friendship kind? For even sylvan creatures of the wood, Attained thy friendship and the highest good, What though the gods compete with lowered crown, Shining bright, at thy footrest to bow down! 10.3 (11.29.4)
कायेन वाचा मनसेन्द्रियैर्वा बुद्ध्यात्मना वानुसृतस्वभावात् । करोति यद् यत् सकलं परस्मै नारायणायेति समर्पयेत्तत् ॥ ३६ ॥ kāyena vācā manasendriyair vā buddhyātmanā vānusṛta-svabhāvāt karoti yad yat sakalaṁ parasmai nārāyaṇāyeti samarpayet tat
(Kavi to Nimi) The body, speech, the intellect and mind, The natural tendencies all consigned, All that is done, thought or cogitated, To Narayana be dedicated. 76 (11.2.36) *this verse was cited earlier in Strand 1,76

Bhakti Ratnavali, Strand Eleven; On Friendship.
अहो भाग्यमहो भाग्यं नन्दगोपव्रजौकसाम् । यन्मित्रं परमानन्दं पूर्णं ब्रह्म सनातनम् ॥ ३२ ॥ aho bhāgyam aho bhāgyaṁ nanda-gopa-vrajaukasām yan-mitraṁ paramānandaṁ pūrṇaṁ brahma sanātanam
(Brahma to Krishna) Ah me! how bless'd with fortune and content, Those dwelling in the cowherd settlement, Who while they to their tasks and duties tend, The Supreme Brahman has become their friend! 11.1 (10.14.32)
एवं मन: कर्मवशं प्रयुङ्क्ते अविद्ययाऽऽत्मन्युपधीयमाने । प्रीतिर्न यावन्मयि वासुदेवे न मुच्यते देहयोगेन तावत् ॥ ६ ॥ evaṁ manaḥ karma-vaśaṁ prayuṅkte avidyayātmany upadhīyamāne prītir na yāvan mayi vāsudeve na mucyate deha-yogena tāvat
(Rishabha's sermon to his sons) So long the soul identifies with mind, It is subject, and to action confined, Till love for me, Vasudeva, is gained, Release from body cannot be attained. 11.2 (5.5.6)

Bhakti Ratnavali, Strand Twelve.
मर्त्यो यदा त्यक्तसमस्तकर्मा निवेदितात्मा विचिकीर्षितो मे । तदामृतत्त्वं प्रतिपद्यमानो मयात्मभूयाय च कल्पते वै ॥ ३४ ॥ martyo yadā tyakta-samasta-karmā niveditātmā vicikīrṣito me tadāmṛtatvaṁ pratipadyamāno mayātma-bhūyāya ca kalpate vai
(Krishna to Uddhava) When from all acts a mortal doth retire, And deeds abandons prompted by desire; He then to me his soul doth dedicate, To do me service and propitiate; He thereby attains immortality, Conceives my state sublime, and comes to me. 12.1 (11.29.34)
धर्मार्थकाम इति योऽभिहितस्त्रिवर्ग ईक्षा त्रयी नयदमौ विविधा च वार्ता । मन्ये तदेतदखिलं निगमस्य सत्यं स्वात्मार्पणं स्वसुहृद: परमस्य पुंस: ॥ २६ ॥ dharmārtha-kāma iti yo ’bhihitas tri-varga īkṣā trayī naya-damau vividhā ca vārtā manye tad etad akhilaṁ nigamasya satyaṁ svātmārpaṇaṁ sva-suhṛdaḥ paramasya puṁsaḥ
(Prahalada's speech) Indeed, Vedas the three fold path approve, Of righteous conduct, worldly gain and love, Which justice, law, order,logic include, And by what means is gained a livelihood; But these are but of extrinsic value, What though the Vedic texts are good and true, Wherefore I ween the highest, final end, Is shelter with the Lord, the supreme friend. 12.2 (7.6.26)

Commencing now with Strand Thirteen of Bhakti Ratnavali, the concluding portion of the anthology in nine more Bhagavatam verses and three of the anthologist own as epilogue. The opening verse is spoken by Karabhajana to Nimi. Bhakti Ratnavali, Strand Thirteen, On Taking Refuge (Sharanagati)
देवर्षिभूताप्तनृणां पितृणां न किङ्करो नायमृणी च राजन् । सर्वात्मना य: शरणं शरण्यं गतो मुकुन्दं परिहृत्य कर्तम् ॥ ४१ ॥ devarṣi-bhūtāpta-nṛṇāṁ pitṝṇāṁ na kiṅkaro nāyam ṛṇī ca rājan sarvātmanā yaḥ śaraṇaṁ śaraṇyaṁ gato mukundaṁ parihṛtya kartam
Whoso, eschewing all for the dear sake Of Mukunda, and in him refuge take, Are no more bound as the debt slaves to pay, Nor god, to sage, nor ancestral mane, Nor to creatures, nor family nor kin, And are absolved of all their debt to men. 13.1 (11.5.41)
*mane is ancestral spirit, pitri, the pronunciation can be seen according to the rhyme.
किं दुरापादनं तेषां पुंसामुद्दामचेतसाम् । यैराश्रितस्तीर्थपदश्चरणो व्यसनात्यय: ॥ ४२ ॥ kiṁ durāpādanaṁ teṣāṁ puṁsām uddāma-cetasām yair āśritas tīrtha-padaś caraṇo vyasanātyayaḥ
(Maitreya to Vidura) What is there then difficult to attain, For one that hath determined his true gain, And doth in shelter of those feet repose, That are a holy shrine, devoid of woes? 13.2 (3.23.42)
शारीरा मानसा दिव्या वैयासे ये च मानुषा: । भौतिकाश्च कथं क्लेशा बाधन्ते हरिसंश्रयम् ॥ ३७ ॥ śārīrā mānasā divyā vaiyāse ye ca mānuṣāḥ bhautikāś ca kathaṁ kleśā bādhante hari-saṁśrayam
(Maitreya to Vidura) How can the one sheltered in Lord Hari, O Vaiyasa, be sunk in misery? Nor body, mind, nor agency divine, Nor man, nor beast, can cause him to repine. 13.3 (3.22.37)
यत्र निर्विष्टमरणं कृतान्तो नाभिमन्यते । विश्वं विध्वंसयन् वीर्यशौर्यविस्फूर्जितभ्रुवा ॥ ५६ ॥ yatra nirviṣṭam araṇaṁ kṛtānto nābhimanyate viśvaṁ vidhvaṁsayan vīrya- śaurya-visphūrjita-bhruvā

अविस्मितं तं परिपूर्णकामं स्वेनैव लाभेन समं प्रशान्तम् । विनोपसर्पत्यपरं हि बालिश: श्वलाङ्गुलेनातितितर्ति सिन्धुम् ॥ २२ ॥ avismitaṁ taṁ paripūrṇa-kāmaṁ svenaiva lābhena samaṁ praśāntam vinopasarpaty aparaṁ hi bāliśaḥ śva-lāṅgulenātititarti sindhum
(The gods' speech) For him there is no cause of wilderment, Since he is self-fulfilled, tranquil, content; He does not need anything external, And looks upon and is the same to all; Whoever would forsake his loving care, And seek for succour and refuge elsewhere, Were like a foolish child that must needs fail, To cross the sea by holding a dogs' tail. 13.5 (6.9.22)
बालस्य नेह शरणं पितरौ नृसिंह नार्तस्य चागदमुदन्वति मज्जतो नौ: । तप्तस्य तत्प्रतिविधिर्य इहाञ्जसेष्ट- स्तावद्विभो तनुभृतां त्वदुपेक्षितानाम् ॥ १९ ॥ bālasya neha śaraṇaṁ pitarau nṛsiṁha nārtasya cāgadam udanvati majjato nauḥ taptasya tat-pratividhir ya ihāñjaseṣṭas tāvad vibho tanu-bhṛtāṁ tvad-upekṣitānām
(Prahlada to Narasimha) Without your favour, mighty Man-lion, No one can bring succour to anyone; A son is not by father safe assured, By physic disease is not always cured, A boat itself may sink upon the sea, And sufferers do not find remedy; Bodied beings, Mighty Lord, you forsake, Who do not seek or in you refuge take. 13.6 (7.9.19)
क: पण्डितस्त्वदपरं शरणं समीयाद् भक्तप्रियादृतगिर: सुहृद: कृतज्ञात् । सर्वान् ददाति सुहृदो भजतोऽभिकामा- नात्मानमप्युपचयापचयौ न यस्य ॥ २६ ॥ kaḥ paṇḍitas tvad aparaṁ śaraṇaṁ samīyād bhakta-priyād ṛta-giraḥ suhṛdaḥ kṛta-jñāt sarvān dadāti suhṛdo bhajato ’bhikāmān ātmānam apy upacayāpacayau na yasya
(Akrura to Krishna) Who is that man with the wisdom to see, That would seek shelter in any but thee, Who are so much affectionate to those, Devoted lovers who in you repose? Righteous, truth-spoken, full of amity, Generous to an excessive degree, The benefactor, fraught with gratitude, You give your own self and beatitude; As such your love, so full, bears no increase, And suffers not at anytime decrease. 13.7 (10.48.26)

अहो बकी यं स्तनकालकूटं जिघांसयापाययदप्यसाध्वी । लेभे गतिं धात्र्युचितां ततोऽन्यं कं वा दयालुं शरणं व्रजेम ॥ २३ ॥ aho bakī yaṁ stana-kāla-kūṭaṁ jighāṁsayāpāyayad apy asādhvī lebhe gatiṁ dhātry-ucitāṁ tato ’nyaṁ kaṁ vā dayāluṁ śaraṇaṁ vrajema
(Uddhava to Vidura) Ah me! wicked Baki, with foul intent, Her nipples smeared with poison virulent, And purposing with malice of forethought, Infanticide; to kill the child she sought; Yet even though she was a fiend abhorred, She gained a mothers' status for reward; To whom else then should we for refuge go, Than him who did such causeless grace bestow? 13.8 (3.2.23)
तापत्रयेणाभिहतस्य घोरे सन्तप्यमानस्य भवाध्वनीश । पश्यामि नान्यच्छरणं तवाङ्घ्रि- द्वन्द्वातपत्रादमृताभिवर्षात् ॥ ९ ॥ tāpa-trayeṇābhihatasya ghore santapyamānasya bhavādhvanīśa paśyāmi nānyac charaṇaṁ tavāṅghri- dvandvātapatrād amṛtābhivarṣāt
(Uddhava to Krishna) Tormented on this long tortuous road, Where the three-fold afflictions are bestowed, I see no other refuge from the heat, O Lord, aside from your lotus-like feet; Which like an umbrella upreared and spread, Doth sweet odours of ambrosia shed. 13.9 (11.19.9)
चिरमिह वृजिनार्तस्तप्यमानोऽनुतापै- रवितृषषडमित्रोऽलब्धशान्ति: कथञ्चित् । शरणद समुपेतस्त्वत्पदाब्जं परात्म- नभयमृतमशोकं पाहि मापन्नमीश ॥ ५७ ॥ ciram iha vṛjinārtas tapyamāno ’nutāpair avitṛṣa-ṣaḍ-amitro ’labdha-śāntiḥ kathañcit śaraṇa-da samupetas tvat-padābjaṁ parātman abhayam ṛtam aśokaṁ pāhi māpannam īśa
(Mucukunda to Krishna) I have long languished here in sore distress, Held in the grip of the six foes' duress, And full of sad surmise and unsated, Quite hopeless and utterly frustrated; Therefore, I come before you Mighty Lord, O shelter-giver whom succours afford, O Supreme soul, for the grace I entreat, That I may repose at your lotus-feet; Which are the resting place of righteousness, Without fear and without unhappiness. 13.10 (10.51.57)

Bhakti Ratnavali. Epilogue in verses of the anthologists composition, in words some thing like this,
Thus, divine beloved consort of Sri, In my presumption and audacity, Since by your inspiration I have thought, And had to make this compilation sought. May it find favour with you if you please, And may it edify your devotees. 13. 11
The saintly souls will give it welcome fair, And find the essence of devotion there, And by discernment they will there detect, The effort made in verses I select. Yet if one thereby does not bliss attain, Then he should read it over and again. 13.12
Though I may be a man of little wit, And shallow intellect and quite unfit, Devotees will not hold it in disdain, Who always in search of nectar remain. The humble bee is but a wild insect, Yet connoisseurs its' store of sweets collect. 13.13.
