I think it is time to expel this guy Shah from the Symposium. It is not about 1st Amendment rights here, as with the US Constitution. Yes, not a free for all up for grabs place for anyone to post whatever they like. So you think we should send Shah Jahan packing? Subject Ajay to defeat? Give him the boot? He doesn't really contribute much to our conversation. He is something of a vidusaka. He might give us some good laughs.

Now that I am set up again in Crestone, I will get back to work. I found all my most recent grammar files. So now I am going through the grammar text and making corrections and changes. I will post that soon. I am also back to working on the book that Madanmohandasji and I undertook, the three siksa texts. That should be done in a few days. I have to finish the Manahsiksa and write a short introduction. Then back to the Tattva-sandarbha and the Nama-cintamani of Kanupriya Goswami. Finally, I hope to finish volume 1 of the complete Ujjvala-nilamani. If I can get all these things done in the next two months, it will be a definite sign of the grace of Mahaprabhu. It would be nice to complete a few more things in this universe instead of sending something off to an alternate universe like the other works I have started.
Additionally, I continue to study Sankara and read about Sri Jiva (I have two studies of his work) and early Vedanta (Hajime Nakamura). My head should explode with all this study and translation. A good way to go, I think, except for the extra trouble caused for those who have to clean up the mess!

"Slavic folklore, which some scholars call Slavic Vedas,"
That is not Physiological term for Russians and others. It is insulting. I think it is word is implies 'Slave'ic to the Germans or British or even Italian class and Ethnicity. I think the term we are looking is perhaps Slovakian or Great.

I don't think Mr. Shah can withhold disparaging remarks about Dr. Kapoor and others. What is he contributing to any conversations here, exactly?

What if our dreams are portals to our alternate selves in parallel universes rather than merely the nightly 'garbage collection and clean up in the brain' that the neurologists describe. I suppose we can only wonder, unless some people on the planet have actually fully accessed those parallel universes in their sleep, despite having no objective proof or evidence.

Yes, not a free for all up for grabs place for anyone to post whatever they like. I don't think we should require members to agree with us always or even mostly, Babu. At least Mr. Shah expresses a clearly defined position (mostly, his koan was corny) as opposed to Vrajavilasa Das who merely spewed incomprehensible nonsense. Shah has a right to his opinions as dumb as they may be. Imagine considering Jordan as a Thakur! He is just trying to get a reaction from you. I doubt the bloke has ever even read any of Dr. Kapoor's books, or even Bhaktivinode's for that matter. The proper reaction is not to boot him out, but to challenge him to prove or at least give some evidence that Kapoor was not a Thakur and Bhaktivinode was. One first has to define Thakur (it doesn't only mean deity, Thakur = Tagore) and then show that someone is or isn't one.

It's possible, Babu. Maybe our gurubhai lives in a parallel universe or visits different ones in his sleep. As I understand it, and I admit I am no expert, universes keep splitting off for every choice that is made so that every option occurs along with the results of that option in some parallel universe. That makes billions of parallel universes existing side-by-side. Can one travel between them? Perhaps the membranes that separate them become thin or weak at some times and places and one can move between them, but then there would be two or more of us in some poor universe. What kind of havoc would that cause? For me it is mostly a source of the fantasy that in some parallel universe I am not as much of a slacker as I am in this one.

Anyone has required qualifications, to debate Physics or your preisolated idea of Chaitanya Vaishnavaism or Contemporary...
To vote in an American election it is not so, with the unneeded brainwashing was being utilized by most charismatic speakers unfortunately empowered by Bhagavan's Advanced simple knowledge.

There isn't even an About section about the distributor. There are no sinners but sins happen nevertheless even in The Great India Vrindavan. Actually, for last 20 years only Skeleton Warriors surf here from the non-CG movie Pirates of The Caribbean Trilogy. Wondering why, Intellectuals are not respected rightfully, perhaps a few casual Prabhu here too. BTW, this is the highest Title name in Scholarship or anything 'Adikesava' directly associated with this scholar's name. It must be so right with absolutely no evidence even.

You absolutely need evidence. Evidence may be in the form of Right, Correct, uncorrect, incorrect, or false. My allegations could be backed by plentiful ole evidence.

Greetings All,
A bit of a report on what I have been up to. I am working on the book of upadesas that Madanmohandasji put together, going over everything with a fine toothed comb. It is taking shape and should be done before too long. I will write a short introduction and publish it within the next month. I have continued to work on the Tattva-sandarbha and will post the first half of that soon as well. It basically has two parts: the first part focusing on pramana--valid sources of knowledge which essentially boils down to the Bhagavata as interpreted by Sri Jiva and the second part which gives a brief account of the prameyas--the truths gathered through those valid sources of knowledge. In this way, the TS is enormously important for anyone who wants to represent the CV tradition to know. Whether we agree or not with Sri Jiva's presentation, it is important to start from there as our common inheritance. We don't have to agree with his conclusions or his arguments. We are not mindless robots. Still, we should have a good grasp over what he has to say and understand why he says it. This is my attitude towards his work. There is much to learned and much to be questioned, as well.
In addition, I am finally getting around to revising Sastrigaru's Sanskrit grammar book, incorporating many of the corrections discovered by those here who studied it and some of my own findings. The corrected version will be uploaded here when it is done. I encourage those who are serious about studying Sri Jiva or Sri Rupa or or Sri Sanatana or the Bhagavata with its commentaries to take time to study Sanskrit grammar. Otherwise, one is at the mercy of others who may not know much at all or who may have a wish to mislead (IGM). I know not everyone can do this, but it is important to have as many as possible who are competent to read and interpret the texts themselves. The Vedic scriptures which Sri Jiva considers the highest authority in matters of trans-natural world knowledge (alaukika-jnana) still must be accessed through our senses and minds which are, as Sri Jiva argues flawed by the four flaws he enumerates. One could even argue that Sri Jiva's recognition that the Vedas are no longer comprehensible in the present world because of being lost or containing contradictory statements is a recognition of this fact. What he doesn't notice or seem to recognize is that we have the same problem with the Bhagavata. We need to access the text through our senses and minds and the Bhagavata has been passed down through countless senses and minds leaving it in a difficult to comprehend state. The very fact that Sri Jiva wrote the Bhagavata-sandarbha is because the Bhagavata does not say what he wants it to say, and so must be interpreted. The main commentator, Sridhara Swami, was an Advaitin, and so his comments must also be interpreted. This is a complicated situation and reminds me of similar problems faced by modern Jewish scholars who must navigate the Talmud in order understand the depths of their religion. As one student of the Talmud has said: "One does not read the Talmud, one swims in it." Similarly, one does not read the Bhagavata, one swims in it. Therefore, one must know how to swim (i.e., know Sanskrit grammar). Or, one can remain ignorantly blissful and just chant. The problem, however, with this latter choice, which is a genuine option, is that it often means that one just remains blissfully ignorant and does not do much chanting either.
