I might not be here on this day so let me greet you all now. Happy Gaur Purnima. Happy appearance day of Lord Chaitanya. March 8 is the appearance day of Mahaprabhu. On this day, I'm sure all of us will make some special prasad and do kirtan, lots of kirtan or like me in this part of the word, will just make do with listening to recorded kirtan. I may sing along too. Harer Nama Harer Nama Harer Nama Eva Kevalam Kalo Nasteva Nasteva Nasteva Gatir Anyata
Chant the holy names, chant the holy names, chant the holy names. It is the only means of deliverance in this age of kali. Thanks for reminding us of Gaurapurnima, malati. I am inspired to work on adding more to my translation of Murari Gupta's The Immortal Acts of Sri Krsna Caitanya, or as I call it, the first Gospel of Sri Caitanya (comparable to Mark, I guess). With any luck I will have a few more chapters done in time to celebrate the day with it. I must say, it is an odd and fascinating book. When Mahaprabhu first sees Laksmi the text says he then discovered the cause or purpose of birth (janma-kAraNa). It can be taken in so many ways!
