Thank you kindly Malati. Nothing happened to me if by that you mean anything disagreable. Presently I'm just coming to the end of 7th Skandha and am looking forward to the 8th, particularly the episode concering the Deliverance if the lordly tusker, ie, Gajendramoksa. I dont know if anyone is familiar with painting the Forth bridge. Reading the Bhagavat and such texts is similar.

Yes. let me add to the good wishes of Malati, madanmohanji, even if they are late. I hope it was a lovely day that your bhajan grows ever stronger. What trans of the Bhagavata are you reading?
Malati, perhaps madanmohanji doesn't come so often here because he is upset that that delightful translation he gave us of the Bhagavad-gita has not come out yet. That, of course, would be my fault. I decided to write an intro and add some appendices containing summaries of the the Gita from various traditions. All of my works seem to be stuck on introductions and appendices at present. Only two more weeks of teaching to go and then maybe I can finish some things.

I think someone else had a birthday yesterday. if I remember correctly. Happy (belated) Birthday Jagadishji! Hope it was a wonderful day. I know you like to misinform others about your birthday in some nod to one superstition or another, but I think there is nothing like the plain simple truth. Hope your bhajan grows thicker every day. May Radhika's shining toe nails blind your eyes.

Hi Nitai. Reading the 5 vol edition from Motilal translated by Tagare. Aside from not having the original text it is very good. As probably mentioned before it has extensive footnotes derived from Sridhara and others but mostly from a Madhva annotator called Vira Raghava. there are also extra verses here and there, marked as such and even extra chapters in Book 10.
The reason for my lack of participation is that I'm not in the mood and don't have much to say. If there was any disappointment on my part regarding Caleb's Gita it was that it did not seem to provoke the interest or discussion I had anticipated. Also my interest in the Ramayan is not shared here; I don't think so. Anyway, thanks for your good wishes and concern.

I think it is a fine translation, which is why I thought of re-publishing it. I encourage you to keep posting your translations, though. They are delightful. You have done parts of the Prema-bhakti-candrika and the Radha-rasa-sudha nidhi. Please keep them coming. Try to do one a day. That way you will complete the whole text eventually. Once they are all done perhaps we can work on publishing those too. I know I am slow, but generally the results are good. School is almost over and I will have more time to contribute here this summer.
