Sanatana Goswami's Sri Krsna-lila-stava, CV's first lila smarana text. This is a bilingual translation with a long introduction and several appendices. The work is about 80% complete. It needs its introduction completed and to be thoroughly edited. This text, possibly written before 1520, is in my opinion where it all started. Part smarana text, part philosophical and theological text, this is the seed out of which the works of the Vrndavana Gosvamins grew. Hopefully, it will completed by the middle of the coming year (2011). I will post it soon in its current condition and then periodically update it.

Sorry. Here it is. It is dreadfully ambitious and dreadfully rough and incomplete. Nevertheless, I think this text is extremely important. It may have represented Sanatana's own sadhana when he returned to Vraja after his stay in Puri with Mahaprabhu. I also think that anyone who recites it or reads it every day, just a section of it, will taste some rasa. Confirm this for me, will you? It is both smarana and nama-japa together. I hope to return to it next year and complete it. Sri Krsna-lila-stava

I am reading it Nitai ji. Just got through first 10 pages. I am loving reading without any intellectual burden of Sanatana being an all knowing nitya siddha. It is refreshing and it has great aesthetic appeal. I will write more on the weekend. Thanks for the work.

I am reading it Nitai ji. Just got through first 10 pages. I am loving reading without any intellectual burden of Sanatana being an all knowing nitya siddha. It is refreshing and it has great aesthetic appeal. I will write more on the weekend. Thanks for the work. Thanks Nitaidasji. As usual a very reliable and accurate edition, I expect. Is it possible if you can compile the different rasa texts that you have translated into one book. It would be handy. I'll buy it. Read the durn thing, dear Malati. Then give me your reactions. I think that if you read a section or two every day, you would start to experience some powerful emotional responses, aka bhakti rasa. Give it a try and report back. As for my other rasika works. They are too big to combine into one volume. Somewhere on this site is the Govinda-lilamrta first two chapters. When complete that will be quite long. Also there is the Krsnahnika-kaumudi, first chapter. That too when done will be fairly long. Finally, there is the Krsna-bhavanamrta, first chapter. When done that too will be long. I hope to finish each of them so that you rasikas will have something to relish some day and I get to relish them as I work on them. There is of course much more. But for now there is the Sri Krsna-lila-stava. Enjoy that one.
