Experiences in Bhakti: the Science Celestial by Dr. O.B.L. Kapoor. This is a classic in the phenomenology of bhakti. It is currently only in hardbound version. The softbound version will be coming out by the end of the year. You can view it and purchase it at the link below. Here.

Working on a paperback version of this text now. It will be done in a few days, I believe. It has been reformatted and so the pagination with be different and of course the book will be less expensive. I am also reworking and expanding my introduction somewhat. Looking into bhakti as a kind of knowledge which would lend partial support to Dr. Kapoor's argument that bhakti is a kind of science (in an older understanding of the word), but not, perhaps, in the way he anticipated. Keep an eye out for that.

I am happy to announce that the paperback version of this book is done and soon will be available at online bookstores near you. It is priced at $14 and is substantially the same. except that I expanded my introduction with a discussion of bhakti as a kind of knowledge. Starting with Sankara the tendency to see bhakti as a kind of knowledge has meant that the fundamental teaching of Advaita Vedanta, that liberation is achieved only by knowledge, and not by action or some combination thereof, is just as true for CV as it is for Advaita.

Yaaaaaay, I am so happy you did that. Now, that is a part of Sane Vaishnavism.
