Hi Draupati,
Thanks for your sanga. It is very kind and generous of you to invite us to share in your inspirations. I am sure we all look forward to the enrichment you will bring to the site. I hope we can all be as open and honest as you. Argument is an egotistic thing. Some of us still enjoy the rasa of that. If you share with us a different kind of rasa, perhaps our tastes will be improved and enriched.

My “bhajan”is really self indulgence.. It is not even shadow bhakti. We “own” a shila of Bihariji. But please check out the kitchen of Bihari; Dirty dishes, garbage. while I’m busy giving “ sanga” online. Though Pancham said to daily chant one lakh and get initiated by a “genuine” guru, I haven’t managed to do those things yet. No sincerity. Bihari- ji forced his way into my life. My husband actually “owns” him. So he’s always been the main devta on our altar. For the past twenty years I have been doing little seva – cooking, bhajan etc. Romapada “sent” him with a devotee to my husband. Previously he was worshipped in NY temple. After that he was hibernating in a closet. It took me all this time to accept him as Krishna. How could a pebble be “god?” I couldn’t swallow it at all. Even once when I was doing Govardhan parikram, I stopped off half way and took riksha back to the room. I couldn’t accept that Krishna was a mountain of rock and I had to torture myself to get grace of this mountain. I will do it for fun next time I go to Vraj, though. The idea is becoming attractive. Plus I practiced by walking four miles last week. Anyway over the years, I’ve come to accept Bihari as a cute bliss filled companion. I won’t eat any food unless he tastes it first. It’s a nice feeling to “own” Krishna.

i made rice, eggplant, thin butter chapati, salad, and a nectar of soursop and yogurt for shyamlal. I only spend an hour cooking. he knows i dont like kitchen work. I keep leftover from the day before to compliment our meal. (Also i cant allow Shyamlal to get fat. It will make swamini mad.)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=axYJgYPid9oI like how she uses the processor to knead the cheese. i make this for lordji sometimes ( once every three years) and i get to enjoy the "grace food." Its good to boil the sweets in the milk syrup a little, and i dont use varak - silver foil. Its beaten with animal skin or something like that. Manjula also gives good recipe for it. I'm tempted to make some soon (like this week.)

(Also i cant allow Shyamlal to get fat. It will make swamini mad.) I don't really think that is accurate........ Shyamlal is quite the fatty - thats why we love him!

i'm not keeping him stick thin. His bones would hurt swamini. He has adequate amount of flesh to cushion her in his embrace. I don't want him to get obese to the point of ugly!

Ok i will make the ras malai for the lord of ras. Swamini and her lover always get little weak after their rendezvous, so I'll make little refreshment. An easy way is to buy the rasgullas readymade. Make syrup with condensed milk and water - snappy. Boil the rasgullas a little with the aromatics and add the sliced nuts. I will make my rasgullas. I dont have Indian shop nearby. I will go to Walmart after dark to buy the milkji.

I'm planning to go away in a few days, and mr. Shyamlal of course is tagging behind. the food there is better for him. here the food has no taste or variety. He can't expect me to be cooking a feast for him every day. i am not his slave. I will give him feast mentally. Of course he gets milk chai every morning. . If he does not like the arrangement he could stay back. I didn't tell him to come. He is the one following us. (By the way he is enraged because i posted ashwariya doctrine. I will listen (only) to the song a few more times, then I'll remove it. I have to do everything to please him, and what does he do for me in return? Nothing!

i identify with Krishna and Rama because of their "human" side. My sister said she loves Shiva because he is a"family man." But he is so attractive when you think of it. That would've been my reason.
