I just found out that Satyanarayana Das (PhD) will be teaching a summer course on Hindu Philosophy. It starts next week and meets TTH from 6:00 to 9:55 PM. The course lasts for 6 weeks. Satyanarayana Das left ISKCON thirteen years ago and became a disciple and student of Sri Haridas Sastri (someone asked about Haridas Sastri Maharaj recently). He studied all the Goswami granthas from him and has done translations into English of all Six Sandarbhas of Jiva Goswami. Jagat is now editing those for publication. Some have already been published (Tattva-sandarbha, and Bhagavat-sandarbha [?]).
He says:
"The details about my course can be seen on Rutgers Univ website under Summer courses of Dept. of Religion. It is an introductory course on Hindu philosophy for the undergraduate students and carries 3 credits. Outsiders can also join it. Usually one has to register for it but i do not mind if some one just wants to attend it. There is no one checking there."
If you are in the area (New Brunswick, New Jersey, College Avenue), this is a great opportunity to study with someone who is deeply grounded in the philosophy. He also says he is happy to converse with interested people directly. If anyone is interested in establishing a conversation with him, please contact me and I will give you contact details. This is a great opportunity for some good satsanga.

Jai Nitai!
That really is a great opportunity. If anyone is in the vicinity they should take advantage and attend his classes. Whenever he is in Brindavan I try to catch as many of his classes as I can. He is very learned and is amply decorated with the good qualities of a Vaisnava.
