Here is the third chapter of the Sri Bhakti-sara-samuccaya of Lokanandacarya who as a learned disciple of Sri Narahari Sarkara. This chapter is on the tattva of the guru and will be one of the appendices of the book by Sri Kanupriya that we are producing. I plan to add the following chapter on the holy name, too. Hope you enjoy it. Get it here.

I've completed the chapter on the holy names. This and the previous chapter on Sadhu-sanga will appear in the appendix of Kanupriya Goswami's little book on associating with the great. Bhakti-sara-samuccayaThere was a question on this forum about the non-Vrindavan Goswami part of the Caitanya tradition, that is to say, about the works of those who thought and wrote about Mahaprabhu independently of the Vrindavana school. This text by Lokanandacarya is one of those texts. He was a disciple of Narahari Sarkara and developed this book completely independently of the Goswamins. As a result it is an interesting independent witness to the teachings of Mahaprabhu.

Jay Nitai,
Dear Nitai dasJi,
Last week I went to Navadwip and while talking to Sri Kishore Ray Goswami ( known as Debu Da ) nephew and disciple of Sri Kanupriya Prabhu I enquired about the bengalee version of "Mahat Sanga Prasanga " by Mandrinath Guha, the english version of which book you gifted to me. But they are not able to guess about the book by Manindra Nath Guha instead they gave me the small booklet of Kanupriya Prabhu (associating with the great). I generally get all the books of Manindra Nath Guha from him but this one is the exception. Do you know what is the exact bengali title of Manindra Nath guha's book? I will try to search again.
FYI,
I have already arranged to send one copy of Uttaran to you and you would be receiving that soon. Please let me know if you received it or not. I will make sure , you should receive one copy per publication now onwards.
Also I would like to know about your view on the magazine "Dhimahi" which Bisakha sent to you. The publisher/writer and the present Mahanta of Ekachakra Dham my KakaGuru Sri Jiva Saran das Babaji would be happy in getting your feedback/suggestions on both Uttaran and Dhimahi.
Jay Nitai

Jay Nitai Hi Subrataji, Jaya Radhe! The book I am producing is not by Manindranath, but by Kanupriya Goswami. Manindra Babu wrote other interesting works like his commentary on the Siksastaka which I would like to reproduce at some point and a couple based on his own realizations derived from practice, but the Mahatsanga Prasanga is by Kanupriya. It will be done soon. By the way, I really need some high quality pictures of Kanupriya Goswamiji for the book. Is there any chance of getting any from Debu Da? I meant to ask you to check with him next time you were in Navadvip. Even high resolution (300 dpi) photographs of pictures of him and his istadevata would be great. The book I have already produced by Manindranatha Babu is called the Sriman Namamrita-sindhu-bindu in Bengali. I have given it the English name Nectar of the Holy Name. Sure I would be happy to "review" Dhimahi for your Kakaguru and I am always happy to received copies of Uttaran. Thanks for sending them to me.
