Haribol everyone...(what you are about to read should really be reserved for a chat around the dinner table, and as it is written for those who have a sense of humour, it does not contain the due and accustomed deferential tone one would expect when discussing such exalted personalitys) ... I do wonder how authentic that story of Narrottam Das Thakura cleaning up stool actually is? Are we seriously supposed to imagine Lokanath Goswami becoming instantly filled with admiration for Narottam Dās upon seeing him doing this? The natural reaction of most people would be to drive that person away, as it would be embarrassing to discover someone cleaning up their filth. Are we also supposed to believe that Lokanath Goswami would even notice? " I'm sure i deposited something under that tree yesterday; where on earth has it gone?...would he even pass in the same place everyday anyway? plus there are loads of hogs in Vraj that could have devoured it. Is it really something to marvel over if he was actually cleaning it up anyway? as care workers do that all the time. I think this tale is popular with those that have a fixation with stool, and seriously distracts us from what Narottama Dās Thakura was actually about.
