I need to officially apologize for creating a false impression here about where we stand in terms of household income. The fact of the matter is that we have struggled quite a bit financially throughout this pandemic, and I was out of work for about 17 months in 2020 and 2021, only collecting social security and state and federal unemployment benefits. But fortunately we were able to hang on. High paying white collar jobs are always extremely competitive to get, and the pandemic just exacerbated the situation by making it much more competitive. Luckily (knock on marble) I was able to land a decent contract just today, after being out of work for 6 weeks since mid June.
Still, I always have my plan B if the market for software engineers ends up drying up entirely at some point. And that is trading in my margin account. And that might end up being better anyways, if it should come to that. Nobody has a crystal ball though, despite Richard Mende who lived for many years at Radha Kund telling me how he had met a tri-kala-vit sadhu that could see past, present and future. That may be one of the siddhis for advanced yogis, I just don't recall off the top of my head. My 69 year old brain is not efficient as my 29 year old brain used to be. I know I am not someone with that particular siddhi.
There I go again talking about myself, as though anyone would find details about me fascinating in any way, shape or form.
