I've been reading 'Obstacles in Bhakti' by Binode Bihari Babaji for the second time. I really really love this book. I feel I could read it like 10 times in a row (maybe then it would stick in my mind a little). In a few places he quotes from the Gautamiya Tantra. Could anyone tell me more about this book (Gautamiya Tantra) and it's place in CV? Does anyone know of an English translation of it? One quote that stood out...
"Even if you chant mantras for thousands of years, mantras that aren't received through a sampradaya and parampara will not yield any result."
Also, it seems this topic should go in the 'literature' section of this site, but I wasn't sure under which category 'tantra' falls. So feel free to move this thread to the appropriate section.
