CC "The vaishnava is merciful, free from hostility, truthful, equipoised, faultless, tender, clean, detached, helpful to everyone, peaceful, surrendered to Krishna, free from lust, harmless, steady, victorious over eh six enemies (lust anger greed illusion, madness, envy) a small eater, free from madness and hysteria, free from pride, grave, compassionate, friendly, poetic, expert and silent."
"The best sadhu sees no fault" This character is accepted as a main one. Great ones due to following bhakti do not see faults in anyone. (a lot of people quote this because they want to remain non transparent)
We have three grades of such great sadhu. .
1.One who doesn't look for fault, but sees faults as people's virtue - is considered great
2.Those who only see virtues are considered mahatarra - much greater.
3.Those who consider a small virtue to be a great virtue is considered mahatma.
Reality of Today : People in general close their eyes to nonsense in the dham - and things have gone from bad to worst. Krishna came to uphold that which is righteous and holy. And a sadhu likes Krishna and does things to please him.
If a sadhu sees wrongdoings for instance sewer draining into Radhakund, or the same in Yamuna, and speaks, it's not fault finding to say so. In fact it's displeasing to Krishna to play numb to it.('Dear Krishna, I'm a simple non envious devotee immersed in your bhajan.')
'Those who only see virtue are considered mahatarra' That might hold if one is situated in the spiritual world and has no business here. But Goloka dham is the same as in this world.. and sometimes Krishna comes to annihilate demons and brings devotees with him to assist.
'Those who sees small virtues and considers them big is considered to be mahatma' That holds if virtues are indeed present
Praise those people who are virtuous indeed. I fully endorse this one. (Although I refrain from too much flattery, it spoils people)
OutsIn general try to to find fault without a reason.
