Can anyone shed any light on that, assuming you watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics? If not, then you missed a really spectacular show.

I watch some of it, but haven't see anyone wearing Tilaka... However, I would not doubt that IGM people are there, performing the usual book distribution, and other activities. You'll have to seek out some footage on the internet. Look for a close up shot of one of the drummers. On television you could make out the 2 parallel yellowish white vertical lines with the big red stripe in the middle painted on their foreheads. Could be just some Chinese symbolic marking that has nothing to do with Vishnu worship - in fact that is probably the case.
