In Sri Chaitanya Bhagavata, Adi kanda, chapter four, 19, we find the the following couplet,
vaadya-gita-kolaahale kari' gangaa snaana/ aage gangaa puji, tabe gelaa 'shashti-sthaana//
They went with song and music to the banks Of Ganga to bathe, worship and give thanks; And thence their way to worship did address, At the fane of Shashti, village Goddess.
Well, going through Brahma Vaivarta Purana, translated by Rajendra Nath Sen, originally published in 1920; the versifying is mine; Prakriti Kanda, came across this, on the subject of aspects and emanated forms of Prakriti.
maatrikaa saa pujyatamaa saa ca shashti prakititaa/ shishunaam prativisvam tu pratipaalana-kaarini//
Foremost of Matron Goddesses is she, And called by the name of divine Shashti; She guards small children from all dire alarm; And keeps the worlds' children from scathe and harm.
tapasvini visnubhaktaa kaartikeyasya kaamini/ shashtaamsa rupaa prakrtes- tena shashti prakirttitaa//
She is devoted to the Lord Vishnu, Austere, and wife of Kartikeya too; As sixth part of Prakriti, she is famed In all the world, and Shashti devi named. BVP. Praktiti kanda, 1 , 70-71
