Hi All,
Sorry for my long absence from this forum. It has been a hectic holiday season for me and my family. In addition, I needed to retreat into my kutir to focus as much energy as I could on completing the Premananda Bharati book. I am happy to say that it is now done. It is available from Nitai's Bookstore (and Amazon, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Abebooks, etc). There are two other reprints of the book that should not be confused with our Blazing Sapphire Press edition. Both of those other reprints are nothing more than reissues of 1912 edition of the book. That in itself may be of interest, but our version is entirely re-typeset and it has a long introduction on the life and work of Baba Bharati as well as notes and preface (by me) and appendices containing supporting documents. I have translated sections from Bodo Baba's jibini, for instance, that record conversations between him and Baba Bharati. I have also done a couple of sections from Ramadas Baba's jibini in which meeting between him and Baba Bharati are described. These have never been translated before and present an interesting picture of Baba Bharati's connections with two major Vaisnava figures in the last decade of the 19th century and first part of the 20th century. Those translations are included in the appendices. The whole book comes to about 450 pages now and is available in hardback for $35. That is less than what the other versions cost and they are only softbound, I believe. Baba Bharati's work is an important and almost lost chapter in the spread of CV to the West.
