Hi All, I have a request. I had occasion to refer Malati Dasi to my old site www.bhajankutir.net. She was looking for the old archived issues of Nitai-zine. She said it did not come up for her. It comes up for me. I will like someone else to visit the site and see if it is working. My own computer may be sending me to the directory where I keep the files. Thanks. If I recall correctly, not all the issues are posted there. I did some hunting around the internet a while back and I was able to get all the zines from #s 1-8 I believe. Let me check... Yes. 1-8. So if anyone needs them, I have copies. Jai Sri Radhe! Thanks, Nilamadhava Dasji. I will let Malati Dasi know. I think she has the first three, but she may want the rest.

Sorry for my absence from the symposium for the last few days. Betsy lost her younger sister last Friday and we are away from home to help her husband during this sad time and to attend a prayer service for her. We are still in Louisville KY, but we will be returning to Kirksville tomorrow. Hope everyone is well. We are gradually recovering from the sudden and unexpected loss of Catherine.

Greetings All,
Sorry for my silence these last few days. I am now safely ensconced in Colorado. The weather is beautiful and dry, maybe too dry, but it is great to be here. All systems in the house are up and running. My granddaughters are enjoying the mountain beauty, when they look up from their video games, that is. I hope to get back to work on my various projects soon. Tattva-sandarbha, Brhad-bhagavatamrta, and Nama-cintamani. I may even get a chance to finish the first volume of the Ujjvala-nilamani here.
Hope everyone is well wherever you are. Let's continue working on stealing Radha and Krsna from India. It is like they are in a burning house. We have to save them from it. We cannot leave it up to them to save themselves. We must treat them like we would our own babies, or friends or lovers and get them out of there!

You can borrow my hook and ladder, if you want. The only hook and ladder we need is Krsna-prema. Can you lend me some of that, Mahasaya?

Greetings All,
Sorry for being so scarce here for the last week or so. We moved out to Crestone Colorado for the summer a few weeks back and have been busy settling in. We also have our granddaughters (दुहितृ) with us and we have been busy keeping them entertained. They will be returning to St. Louis in a few days with their parents and we will be able to get back to work. I am close to releasing the first three chapters of my translation of the Brhad-bhagavatamrta of Sanatana. I am just adding a few footnotes and then I will post it here. The text is so important in the development of CV philosophy and practice that it needs to be studied by all. I know that there are ISKCONy trans-miscreations out there (Gopiparanadhana's, for instance), but they are not worthy of study. No critical thought is involved in them and the language is pure Prabhupadish. It hurts me eyes and ears. If that is the sort of crap you like, be my guest! The first major claim I push on Sanatana's text is that none of it actually happened as some loony goof-balls claim. This is a creative work, an early novel, if you will, devised by Sanatana as a vehicle to present his mature understanding/interpretation of the teachings of the Bhagavata. Mind you, none of it would be necessary of the Bhagavata weren't controversial, uncooperative, and unwilling to bend to the wills of the CV theologians. The Bhagavatamrta and the Bhagavata-sandarbha are efforts by the major CV theologians to bend the Bhagavata to their wills and to squeeze something similar to a coherent worldview that is harmonious with the recorded and perceived experience of Mahaprabhu.

Plenty of krishna-prema to go around, after Mahaprabhu broke open the cask that holds it. So, you don't need to borrow any from anyone. Just scoop up some for yourself. Or is that not the correct siddhanta after all? You tell us, Pandit Ji.

Or is that not the correct siddhanta after all? You tell us, Pandit Ji. I am sure there is more gathered around you, baba, than me. Please scoop some up and toss it my way. We need Radha and Krsna to quit India. I will build a small shrine for them here in Crestone with my own hands if I have to and worship them the way they want, as simple cowherd girl and boy. None of this sickening, overwrought, self-aggrandizing opulence and big, big cold temple stuff. That is only for benefit of fat white sannyasis who only want to stuff their faces with ghee and sugar and occasionally belch out meaningless sermons.

Greetings All,
Sorry for my absence for so many days. We were in Kentucky burying Betsy's sister, Catherine. We had a big ceremony planned that had to be cut way back because of the covid restrictions. Still, about 50 family and friends attended her funeral mass, all scattered around the church she grew up attending. The rest of the weekend was spent watching slides of her life and telling stories about her. Her ashes were buried on the family plot at the Catholic cemetery in Lebanon, KY. We are back in Missouri for a week and then we will fly back to Colorado.
I have not been able to do much work during this period, but I am my desire to get back to work started to revive yesterday. I will pick up the Manah-siksa again and try to post the complete work before leaving for CO. I started working on the Tattva-sandarbha again yesterday. That is coming along, slowly but surely. I give warning about this text. I am reading it as a sceptic and interpreting it along those lines. If anyone wants to be lulled to sleep about this text and never entertain a doubt, I don't recommend reading my translation and commentary. Stick to Satyanarayana's. He will put you right into a deep dogmatic slumber and you will be well rested and free of any need to wake or think. From my perspective much of what Sri Jiva says in the Ts seemed true to him in his time, but today we know much more about the history of ideas in India and many traditionally held views have been debunked. Should we take these things into account or should we bury our heads in the sand? I am for the former. Samasti-guru speaks through linguistics, text-criticism, history, logic, and science and we should listen. If we don't it is guru-avajna, the worst of the offenses to the holy name.
My two cents for the day.
I continue to read Sankara's Upadesasahasri. It is an amazing text. It truly fills in the non-dual or abheda side of our tradition. Two thumbs up. Next, his commentary on the Brahma-sutra.
Back to work.
