I have added a board on the Vedas and Upanisads to the section on Aesthetics and Literature inside the forum. At present I am adding my edition and translation of the Gopala-tapani Upanisat. to it. This is a continuation of the work on the meanings of mantras which was started with the translation of Prabodhananda Sarasvati's commentary on the Kama-gayatri, now lodged in the Practical Matters section under the board on Japa. The Vedas and Upanisads board is also where I have put the gloss of Sri Jiva on the Agni Purana commentary on the Gayatri mantra. Later, I will add translations and commentaries on some of the shorter Upanisads and some of my translations of the Vedic hymns.
Just a heads up for those interested.

The seed of a new text has been planted in the Vedas and Upanisads section. The first installment of the Sri-sukta, from an appendix of the Rg Veda, along with some of its major commentaries. All those lovers of the goddess should rejoice and learn to chant it. May Sri smile on us all!

A new book on bhakti-rasa has been planted in the section on Rasa in the forum. I am tired of that poor translation of Sri Anantadas Baba's book that is circulating around. Now that all copies have been sold in Nitai's bookstore, it is time to replace it with something new and better. We need good books on rasa. Another chapter of my dissertation might be available soon, too.
