You effin contentious lily-livered cowardly armchair philosophos sittin' on your stuffed cushions like to dismiss people of color like mojo, but I say you all be an effin laughin stock to many out there. U really ought to get off your self-rightyeous thrones and mingle with the peeps for an effin change. Hopefully this post will sit around for awhile for peeps to read before you see it and shoot it down cos you can't deal with any criticism. Later, suckas! Mojo1008 is no more a people of color than I am. He is clearly some dumb white guy's goofy image of what a Rasta is. Any real Rasta would know that the last thing one wants is for the male Ganja plant to pollinate the female plant. Then all you get is seeds. The unpollinated female plant is high in THC and is the best for smoking and getting high. Jaya Saktidevi! Maybe you should take your own advice and stop sitting around on your ass all day watching TV and thinking you're brilliant. Someone is certainly a laughing stock, but I don't think it is me. What an embarrassment you must be to your Sicilian ancestors!

You people should all join the Church of Satan. That is where it is all happening. Stop chasing your rainbows and your mythical gods that live at the ends of those rainbows. Be here now. Get involved. The Illuminati rule!
Jai Mahadev! Jai Kalima!

Let's move from the ridiculous to the sublime now. Here is a little story I found in one of Sri Hrdayananda Das Babaji Maharaja's little books. For those of you who do not know, Sri Hrdayananda Das Babaji Maharaja was a disciple of Sri Ramadas Babaji Maharaja and a superb master of sankirtana. He is also the gurudeva of a couple of our members: Sri Sakhicaran Das ji and Srimati Bishakha Dasi. He has written many small and several large books in Bengali. His disciples are busily translating them into English. Here is a small portion of his book Sri Sri Mahamantra o Dhama Rahasya. It is an account of the revelation of the Mahamantra (source unknown): But the Mahamantra is not to be sung loudly in kirtana. Its creation or manifestation occurred at the end of the Dvapara Yuga when Radharani was in the tenth state. When the sakhis saw that out of separation from Sri Krsna, Radha's body had become motionless, breathless, Sri Bishakha in agitation ran to Devi Paurnamasi and said: "Devi! Radharani, who is in deep separation from Krsna out of her love for him, is losing her life. How can we save her?" Then Paurnamasi Devi gave the Mahamantra to Bishakha Sakhi and said: "Speak this Mahamantra into Kisoriji's ear and she will certainly become conscious again." As soon as Bishakha Sakhi spoke the Mahamantra into the ear of Radharani her body was covered with goose-flesh. At the first "Hare" her purva-raga awoke. Thus, did Kisori's life-breath return--- No, No! Krsna has not left Vraja and gone anywhere else! vrndavanam parityajya padam ekam na gacchami. Each following name sparked memories of lila after lila. Finally, "Hare" revealed the Maharasa, or the great Rasa Dance. Therefore, Babaji Maharaja (Sri Ramdas Babaji Maharaja) said: "You chant many Mahamantras. Do you know the mantra's secret?" [For the secret you will have to tune in tomorrow. ]

Who had an issue with manjari-bhava? I merely admitted I don't understand it. I was wondering if someone would notice the similarities between cannabis culture and rahasya lila. You guys are sharp as nails, or something. Radha and the sakhis, great and small, are never pollinated. Krsna withholds his seed (hrdi avaruddhasaurata). But one can't say that there isn't contact. Anyone who has been following along with the Govinda Das and Jagadbandhu songs should know that there is plenty of anga-sanga. What puzzles me is the mysterious wifi connection between manjaris, sakhis and Radhika. I don't think cannabis culture helps much with that.

As promised here is what Sri Ramadasa Babaji Maharaja had to say about the secret of the Mahamantra:
The beads of the mala are the Gopis and the string between them is the glistening Blue One. With each and every gopi a Krsna does the Rasa dance without ceasing. In the middle is central, "Sumeru" bead with is Kisora and Kisori joined intimately together. The bag for the string of beads is the place of the Rasa Dance. For this reason the Mahamantra is to be recited in a very private way. But it is not to be sung as kirtana. Mahaprabhu gave the rule that it should be chanted while keeping count.

Except he said the beads were the gopis, the big bead was Gora, and he said that Krishna is the knots and he laughed!

The glistening Dark (KAlA) is the knots in between. My goof. It looks like it is a verse from a song: mAlA hala BrajabAlA; granthi rUpe cikkaNa KAlA

Here is another little paragraph from Sri Hrdayananda Das Babaji Maharaja.
Now again it is said in scripture (from the Caitanya-bhagavata): ``Say it every instant. There is no other rule." Many are thus able to think that the meaning of this is: Mahaprabhu said this. There is no rule or regulation. It can be done in kirtana and also it can be done in japa. But that is not the meaning. "There is no rule" means that the kinds of regulations that apply to other mantras like purification of the seat, purification of the elements, sitting on one seat and chanting it, these kinds of rules do not apply to the Mahamantra. On the road, at the bathing ghat, in the car, and so on, one can chant everywhere. If that were not so, it would be impossible to chant three lakhs or even one lakh of the holy names.

To your credit you white boys are not as dumb as you look, albeit some of you are more fashion and philosophically challenged than others. (The white women, they be mighty fine in my book.) Now when it comes to Dawkins and Bill Maher, they hardly need to be religious scholars to be adept at pointing out the religiulous nature of many an otherwise pious person. We need to be able to laugh at ourselves first. Then maybe we have some entitlement to laugh at others, or maybe not. Either way, it does get us into the territory of the uber-absurd, don't you think? But putting all of that aside for the moment, this discussion has taking a fascinating turn with respect to the role of atheism in the world today. There are no doubt many flavors of it. Is it just another ism, or is there something much more profound going on? Is it another new age of enlightenment akin to the one that spawned the great European Renaissance? All good questions to ponder. I am not any Aristotle or Plato or Kant, not by a long shot. So, I won't even try to come up with some of the answers, but it is a good exercise for us to at least take our brains out for a jog once in a while and tackle the deeper musings of the CV writers of the past five centuries. Have to go now. Need to make sure mofo & mojo are staying out of jail!

Another Jagadbandhu song about Nitai!:
Victory, victory, moon of my life, Nityananda Rama! Where is that ocean of compassion, That domain of bliss? (O Nitai Canda!) Friend of Viracanda and Vasudha! Life of Jahnava! (O my treasure of joy!) Object of the love of Narottama and Santosa! (O joy of my eyes!) Deliverer of Jagai and Madhai! Wealth of Padmavati! (O Deliverer of the Lord's world!) At your charming lotus feet, Bandhu finds his shelter. (All this for the living beings!)

Another Govinda Das song on the end of night:
gaganahi magana saga.na rajaniikara calu caramaacala-ora| padumninibadana madhupa ghana cuumba{}i teja{}i kumudinikora|| jaagahu~m re b.r.sabhaanukumaari| "syaamarakore gori kiye bhorali puna bolata "suka "saari|| yaaminitimira thiira naahi heri.ye para"si aru.narucira"nga| naagari niila pa.taa~ncale a"nka caurirabhasarasa etahu~m sudhaarasa durajana rahu path johi gobindadaasa kaha jaani cala e sakhi pika bolata ohi ohi||
Immersed in the heavens The moon with companions Sinks to the last mountain. And bees kiss intensely The faces of lotuses, Leaving the laps of the lilies. O wake up young daughter Of proud Vrsabhanu! ``O lady light and fair, Are you drunk again there On the lap of your ebony?" Ask again the parrot and sari. I see the night's darkness Is not very steadfast. The rays of dawn touch it, a stain on the border Of a lady's blue sari. So sweet is the flavor Of stolen love's pleasure That bad folk lie in wait Their eyes glued to the path. Govinda Das says: ``Knowing this, let's go, friend. The cuckoo calls `Ohi Ohi!'"

Here is a song from the Astakaliya section of the Sri Pada-kalpa-taru. There are nearly five hundred songs in this section of the work by various and sundry songwriters. I have opened up a file and will add to these from time to time. When the collection gets larger I will issue a pdf with the songs and the original Bengali words.
"suti.yaache goraacaa~mda "sayanamandire| bicitra paala"nka "seja ati manohare|| aalase aba"satanu goraa na.taraa.ya| ki kahaba a"nga"sobhaa kahane naa yaa.ya|| meghera bijurii kibaa chaani.yaa yatane|\\ kata rasa di.yaa bidhi kaila niramaa.ne|| ati manohara "seja bicitra baali"se| baasudeva gho.sa dikhe manera hari.se|| 1|| 2478||
Gora Moon has lain down\ In the house for sleeping On a many-splendored bed, decorated most charmingly. His body is lax with tiredness, Gora, the king of dancers. What can I say about the beauty of his body? One cannot describe it. Is it lightning from a cloud, Kneading it with great care? With how much sweet juice has the creator made him? There, on that charming bed On a many-splendored pillow Vasudeva Ghosa views him, his heart in exaltation.
[We have been hearing about the setting moon in the songs of Radha and Krsna's last moments in the kunja. Here the setting moon is Gaura. Kind of a nice touch.]
