Aloha everyone, it has been a while since my last visit; (if that is the case) I apologize for my selfish absence. Anyhow, I have here some interesting links that will take you to the most recent academic researches on the science of rituals, conducted by collaborative research centre of Heidelberg University in Germany. I am particularly interested on the outcome results of these studies specifically on the subject of "The globalization of Ayahuasca" and how to "Define the most effective dimensions of traditional Ayahuasca rituals and their transformations in (post)modern societies" In other words, I am basically surprised on how this ancient Amazon medicine made a smooth transition from the forest into the modern world; the infinity growing numbers of users and the unparalleled attention from academic communities. Please read more here More here too BTW: "The Collaborative Research centre (SFB) 619 "Ritual Dynamics" is funded by the (German Research Foundation) (DFG), from which it receives around 1 Million Euro per annum, and is planned to run for approximately 12 years. This is the world's largest research centre dedicated solely to investigating the dynamics of rituals, i.e. to asking: How do rituals come into being? When do rituals disappear? Who invents rituals? What are rituals needed for? How variable are rituals and how do new media affect old rituals?" uk.youtube.com/watch?v=o-1-0abC8uc
