Greetings all on the auspicious and memorable day of Sri Krsna Janmastami. I take this opportunity to beseech the good will of all, and pardon for transgressions by my rude tongue committed.

The radiant orb of whose countenance robs the conceited pride of the full moon; at whose lotus-feet goddess Indira bows; whose limbs are anointed with fragrant sandal; who makes secret trysts in caves and grottoes of the mountain to sport with charming beauties; who uplifted the Mount Mandara and whose neck is illumined by the radiance of his ear pendants; O mind! Do thou contemplate in this manner the handsome child of the cowherd Nanda.
Sri Rupa Stavamala
ps. some nice allusions to the Ksira samudra manthana there eh?

The card my friend Carolyn made me for our first Janmastami in 1974, just before we finally made contact with ISKCON through the ad on Spiritual Sky incense. Wishing you all the best on your spiritual path and have a blissful Janmastami celebration!
