Greetings all on the auspicious and memorable day of Sri Krsna Janmastami.
I take this opportunity to beseech the good will of all,
and pardon for transgressions by my rude tongue committed.

The radiant orb of whose countenance
robs the conceited pride of the full moon;
at whose lotus-feet goddess Indira bows;
whose limbs are anointed with fragrant sandal;
who makes secret trysts in caves and grottoes
of the mountain to sport with charming beauties;
who uplifted the Mount Mandara and whose
neck is illumined by the radiance of his ear pendants;
O mind! Do thou contemplate in this manner
the handsome child of the cowherd Nanda.
