First five mantras of Kena Upanishad.
om; kenesitam patati presitam manah kena praanah prathamah praiti yuktah/ kenesitaam vaacanimaam vadanti caksuh srotram ka u devo yunakti//1//
Impelled by whom does the mind its way go, By whose impetus does the life-air flow, By whom is speech to utter forth impelled, By which God is the eye and ear compelled? 1
Srotrasya srotram manaso mano yad vaaco ha vaacam sa u praanasya praanah/ caksusascaksuratimucya dheeraah pretyaasmaallokaadamrtaa bhavanti// 2//
He is the ear of ear, the mind of mind, The speech of speech, the life of life defined, Eye of the eye; the wise who meditate, Leaving the world, attain the deathless state. 2
na tatra caksurgacchati na vaaggacchati no manah/ na vidmo na vijaanimo yathaitad-anusisyaat//3//
Yet the eye cannot go there, thus confined, Neither the power of speech nor strength of mind; And since beyond the eye, the mind and speech, We do not rightly know how this to teach. 3
anyadeva tad-viditaad- atho aviditaadadhi/ itisusrusam purveraam nas-tad-vyaacacaksire//4//
Verily That is different is shown; Beyond what is, above what is unknown; This we have heard from ancient teachers thus, Who this wisdom imparted unto us. 4
yadvaacaa'nabhyuditam yena vaagabhyudyate/ tadeva brahma tvam vidhi nedam yadidamupaasate//5//
That which is beyond the scope and the reach Of words, yet is the impetus of speech; Know That to be Brahman indeed, my dear, And not that which the people worship here. 5

yanmanasaa na manute yenaahurmano matam/ tadeva brahma tvam vidhi nedam yad-idam-upaasate//6//
That which cannot be thought of by the mind, Wherein, they say, the mind is yet confined; Know That to be Brahman indeed, my dear, And not that which the people worship here. 6
yacchaksusaa na pasyati yena caksumsi pasyati/ tadeva brahma tvam vidhi nedam yad-idam-upaasate//7//
That which the eye has not capacity To see, yet which gives the power to see; Know That to be Brahman indeed, my dear, And not that which the people worship here. 7
yacchrotrena na srnoti yena srotramidam srutam/ tadeva brahma tvam vidhi nedam yadidamupaasate//8//
That which is beyond the scope of the ear, Is That which affords the power to hear; Know That to be Brahman indeed, my dear, And not that which the people worship here. 8
yatpraanena na praaniti yena praanah praneeyate/ tadeva brahma tvam vidhi nedam yadidamupaasate//9//
iti kenopanisadi prathamah khanda/
That which is not by the life-air conceived, Is That by which the life-air is perceived; Know That to be Brahman indeed, my dear, And not that which the people worship here. 9
Thus ends Kenopanishad, part the first.
