Can't wait. What was that I was saying about the home made versions of things?

The substitution should be in the range of 1 to 1.3 allulose for 1 part sugar in any recipe. But, you can always just taste it to be sure.

Note: Excess fat in the diet can exacerbate the side effects (digestive) of metformin. However, by that time, the patient already has the condition from fat in the liver and that comes from the low fat/high carb diets, which recently has been identified as the key factor in adult onset type 2 diabetes. Carbohydrates also exacerbate those same side effects, so need to be limited.
Maybe we need a separate thread on diets and health, if there is not already one. People keep introducing views on what is or is not healthy in their recipes, irrespective of any evidence that may or may not support those views. People just want some good recipes to use, and here mainly for their puja offerings.

While still hot in my mind, I've just baked it, I'm posting the recipe for Peach Upside Down Cake.
Probably you can also use fresh very ripe peaches, although I have never used for this recipe. You can also use pineapple rings in the tin, which I've used in the past)
Sliced peaches in 500 g tin 1/4 cup margarine, melted (I use canola, any neutral flavour margarine will do) 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup margarine 3/4 cup white sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 1/4 cup flour pinch tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup milk
- Drain the peaches. - Mix melted margarine and brown sugar. Put the mix in a round baking pan, approx. 8 inch in diameter. - Lay the sliced peaches on the pan. - Into the flour put cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Mix together. - With electric mixer at low speed mix margarine and white sugar. Set aside. - Into flour mix, add milk and vanilla. Mix with manual mixer. - Pour flour mixture into the margarine mixture. Mix well. - Put the cake batter into the pan, covering the peaches. -Bake at 350 F or 175 C (fan forced oven) for 35-40 minutes. When baking time ends, take out from oven and stick a knife into cake , when it comes out clean, cake is done. Top of cake will be golden brown. - Loosen the side of cake by gently running a knife around side. Cool cake in pan for 5 minutes. - Turn over pan into a big platter. Leave in that position for 5 minutes. Then lift the pan off cake. -Some peaches or cake pieces may stick to pan, put them back onto the cake in the place where they should be.
Offer to Krishna and enjoy the prasad.
