Interestingly, the Stirrat/Cornwell study in the UK article is the very same survey referred to by Richard Dawkins in The God Delusion. It appears that it has nearly arrived at publication as Stirrat still needs to do a final write-up. But the conclusions are pretty clear and also interesting.
