Greetings Nilamadhava dasji, I have the whole book scanned. Would that make it easier to combine into one pdf? I have posted three of the sections. There are another five. The only hitch is that when Jagadish was scanning he got the pages out of order a couple of times. Those need to be snipped and replaced in their proper places. The two unnumbered pages you mention are: the picture of Kanupriya Goswami comes after page 232 and before 233 and the page about the picture on the cover is on the inside of the back cover of the book. I will continue to post the next sections of the book in the appropriate place in this thread. I can share the whole lot with you through Google Drive. Let me know what works best for you. Radhe Radhe Nitai Dada-ji! Thank you! I received the files. The pdf I'll create will be individual pages. Granted some pages are more clear than others, but all are readable. I'll post the link once it's complete! Jai Gauranga!

Good morning all. Jai Sri Radhe! Here is a link to the pdf of the entire book Jiver Svarup O Svadharma: drive.google.com/open?id=1T09jDHiWyDAFk3Y1d2X-ZeVOHniiFbc-It needs work and/or to be re-done, which I hope to do when I get my own copy of it. Until then, this is an entirely readable copy as I've been going through and reading it myself. The only change I made from the original is that I put the description of the cover image immediately following the cover page, rather than where is located as the last page of the book. In a future pdf I also plan to put a cover sheet with details of where a person can give a donation to the ashram of Sri Kanupriya Gosvami, but I don't have such a link at this time. I do have a link to the website of his family, which is: thakurkanaifamily.com/I won't keep this pdf book on my Google Drive forever so if you're seeing this message and the link doesn't work, please message me. Jai Nitai Gaur!

Thanks, Nilamadhava dasji. This is great. At last the whole text, imperfect though the translation may be, is available. I am working on the Sri Nama-cintamani at present and hope to post the early parts of it soon. In the meantime I took the liberty of optimizing the huge pdf you assembled for us. It is now only 50 mbs. You can find it here. It is still quite readable.

Gaur Haribol!
Regarding the English translation of Jiver Svarup O Svadharma, done by Jagadananda Das, I believe I heard some feedback that the translation was lacking. Can anyone fill me in a bit more on this? I've been reading it and am thinking to re-type it out to make a nice clean pdf with edits of typos and such, but if the translation is sub-par, maybe I shouldn't?? Thoughts? Thanks!

I think that Jagat did a good job. I have not compared the text sentence by sentence to the original, but I know that Jagat knows Bengali and Sanskrit well. The problem is that the manuscript was handed over to someone in Bengal with an MA and he "edited" it with a limited and poor knowledge of idiomatic English. Correcting and improving the English would be a big help. I can help with the transliteration and English translations of the Sanskrit and Bengali quotations. At present those are almost unrecognizable. So I encourage you, Nila Madhava dasji, if you want to undertake the work. We can even retypeset the book once you are done reworking the text. Great seva for a great Vaisnava!

I should add that if you encounter some English passage that you have doubts about or are not clear about the meaning of, Nilamadhava, let me know and I will check the Bengali and try for a clearer translation. Take Ganesha's role in the creation of the Mahabharata. He was the scribe, but he did not write I verse down that he did not understand. The "editor" may have seriously mucked up Jagat's original translation. Hopefully we can straighten the English rendition out.

Here is the latest version of Kanupriya Goswami's Sri Sri Nama-cintamani. It contains all the front matter (except for the introduction to the fourth edition by Kisore Ray Goswami) and has been proofread by my wife Betsy. If anyone notices anything that has been missed, please let us know. I am ambivalent about capitalizing the words 'holy names' and 'lord'. I dislike over capitalization, but I have not yet determined where it might be appropriate and where not. This is a puzzle that still has to be solved. Anyway, you can download it here.I am working on Chapter 1 now and hope to have that done in about a month. It is about 30 pages long in the original.
